1. M.Tech – Computer Science & Engineering (Advanced Computing and Data Science) & M.Tech in AI and ML

Course Objectives

This programme is designed to offer IT and Computing skills that enhances problem-solving abilities among participants.

CDAC collaborates with leading universities to help to adjust to current industry trends and enhance their managerial abilities. It utilises C-DAC research innovation and incubator labs to facilitate students’ learning process.

Course Duration: 2 years

Type of Course/ Medium: Hybrid full-time course

Programme Curriculum

Both M. Tech in Advanced Computing & Data Science and M. Tech in AI & ML programmes take two years to complete. Students will be required to undertake at least 15 modules spread through 4 semesters.

The final semester comprises a dissertation module where students will undertake a research thesis on a topic of their choice.

Course Objectives

Students will learn the fundamental concepts of data visualization, data mining, and data search methods. Additionally, the students will acquire skills in cloud computing and using data analysis tools such as R, Tableau, and Excel.

Admission Process

  • Candidates are required to register for the courses online. They should access the application from the institution’s website and fill in all the details required.
  • After filling in the educational and communication details, candidates must upload attested copies of their documents and submit them before the deadline. They must also pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 600.
  • CDAC admission process is done through CDAC’s Computerised Common Admission Test (C-CAT) for diploma/PG courses and Common Entrance Test for certificate courses.
  • An admission panel evaluates all the application forms and shortlist candidates based on academic background and work experience.
  • Shortlisted candidates undertake a physical interview where they will be required to produce original copies of their certificates/mark sheets. Successful candidates are informed through the details provided during the registration process.


CDAC has several e-learning platforms that enable students to access learning materials remotely. They include e-Mentor, My-Shikshak, Collaborative Classroom (CSR), Online Labs (OLabs) for experiments, Context-Aware Mobile, and Framework for Adaptive Instruction.

The fee for M.Tech and certificate courses at CDAC will be availed during the application process as it is not static.

Ans: Yes, an entrance exam is part of the admission process.
