Ans: No, communication will only be channeled through the institution’s website or the candidate’s email address.
Q3: How do I check my distance MBA enrollment status?
Ans: All details about distance MBA enrollment will be available on the student’s portal. The students will be required to key in their name and date of birth to get the data.
Q4: How long will I wait before I know the status of my application?
Ans: Candidates will get a response within 2-3 weeks from the final day of the application process.
Q5: I made an error during the application process. Is it possible to rectify it?
Ans: Candidates can only rectify mistakes made on the application form if the application window is open. Even then, the students cannot change their names and their course of choice.
Q6: Is it mandatory that I undertake an entrance exam before admission to the distance MBA by IIT?
Ans: Yes, candidates must have valid scorecards for a recognized entrance exam.
Q7: Is there any exemption for entrance exams?
Ans: Yes, entrance exams are not mandatory for candidates registered by Centrally Funded Technical Institutes and pursuing a technology-related course. Also, candidates with a CGPA of 8 and above will be exempted.
Q8: Which is the acceptable payment method for distance MBA students?
Ans: Students can pay their fees through a demand draft drawn in favor of the Directorate of Distance Education, IIT, and payable in Delhi. Alternatively, they can pay using online platforms such as Debit Card and Credit Card.
Q9: Is it safe to send the DD by post after applying for a distance MBA at IIT?
Ans: Yes, candidates are advised to enclose the DD when sending the required documents. Ensure that you write your name and course of choice overleaf.
Q10: Can I change from my current program to a distance MBA program at the institution?
Ans: If you’ve been admitted to a program you don’t like, you can always change it to your favorite program. However, this is subject to seat availability. If there is any overpayment after the change, of course, it shall not be refunded.
