Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Is there any difference(s) between the distance MBA program and a correspondence course?

Ans: The distance MBA program is designed in such a way that students can study at their own pace and at any location of their choice. Plus, students are able to communicate with their lecturers for further explanation of subjects that may be challenging.

On the other hand, in a correspondence course, students are entirely on their own. They don’t have access to lecturers but use self-learning materials to study.

Another significant difference is that the distance MBA program offered by MAHE features peer group interactions, virtual classrooms, mentor chats, advising, and counseling sessions, while a correspondence course doesn’t feature all of these.

Q2: Are there other sundry charges aside from the tuition and exam fees?

Ans: No. There are no extra charges after paying your tuition and examination fees. All payments should be made online and in favor of MAHE. If there are any fees, the school will inform you through circulars.

Q3: Will I write an entrance test before being considered for admission?

Ans: While there are some programs that do not require students to sit for an entrance examination, in the distance MBA program, you are required to take the SMAT test. Once you pass the test and meet the eligibility criteria, you will be offered admission on merit.

Q 4: Does MAHE offer education loans to students?

Ans: At present, MAHE does not provide education loans to distance education students. If you need a loan to pay for your tuition, you may approach your bank for more information.

Q5: Are International students welcome to apply for admission?

Ans: If you are a foreign student, you are free to apply for admission. However, you must possess a valid visa and passport before your application would be considered.

Q6: Does the school accept payment of tuition fees on installment?

Ans: If you don’t have the funds to pay the tuition fee at a go, you can pay in an installment basis. However, ensure you finish the payment before an examination, otherwise, you won’t be allowed to write the semester examination.

Q7: Is the certificate recognized by employers of labor?

Ans: The distance MBA certificate issued by the school is honored and respected by all recruiters and employers across India and other parts of the world.

Q8: Does the university provide reading materials?

Ans: MAHE does not provide free reading materials to distance MBA students. If you need reading materials and you can spare some hours of your time, you can visit the school library.
