  • MTWU is a government-owned institution of higher learning that was designed to empower women in Kodaikanal and environs through education.
  • The school was founded in 1984 through the enactment of Tamil Nadu Act 15. MTWU offers distance education courses through the Directorate of Distance Education.

Com, BA Co-Operation, BA Corporate Secretaryship, B.A Industrial Organization, and BSc Mathematics with Accountancy, etc. For MCA, any degree with mathematics is required. For the remaining courses, a degree in any discipline is acceptable.

  • Candidates can get the application forms by downloading it from the MTWU’s website at You will need to pay the sum of Rs. 250 (SC/ST) or Rs. 500 (others) for the form if you are submitting it in person.
