University of Maryland Online MBA Cost Cost($)
Tuition Fee $83,970. Of this amount, students who have been accepted into the program will have to deposit $1,000 before the start of classes. The deposited amount will be used as a credit toward the first term tuition.
Technology Fee $132 per semester. This amount is charged twice a year (i.e. during spring and fall semesters).

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements at Smith include:

  • Payment of a non-refundable application fee of $75. However, the application fee is waived for UMD Terp alumni as well as Military students.
  • Professional work experience.
  • One essay question and one optional question. Applicants are required to provide well-written essays that clearly and thoughtfully answer the question on the application portal.
  • One letter of recommendation.
  • GMAT/GRE scores are required. Nevertheless, a waiver may be granted to applicants whose academic records or career trajectory demonstrates excellent quantitative and analytical skills. The institutional code for GMAT online MBA code is SQT-N8-32, while that of GRE is 5814.
  • Transcripts. Smith requires admitted students to have an undergraduate cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 (of 4.00).
  • TOEFL. Smith requires applicants who have not completed a university degree in a country in which English is the principal language to take the TOEFL exam. An official copy of the test scores should be sent to the school using the institutional code 5814.
